Hump Day

Wow! What a difference a week on the lamb can make.
Urban Dictionary says about hump day, "The absolute BEST day of the week, the day of maximum hope that maybe, you might make it out of this week alive. A particularly good hump day can last you the rest of the week...".
Right on schedule and true to Urban's vision of the day, this time last week the guard cried in the distance, "It is Eight O'clock and all is well !".
Then came Thursday when several things came together to really screw up what could have been anyone's week. Could have been, but it wasn't . It was my week! My week! And, it had just gone to hell in a hand basket. And, the damn guard couldn't be found let alone heard crying greetings from the city square.
Life was reminiscent of that old blood hound dog on the old TV Show, "Hee Haw!". I was all alone in deep despair and agony feeling like if it had not been for bad luck, I would have had no luck at all.
Notice there have been no e-mails, no site updates, no blogs, no articles, and no...no...no...etc. And, here I am faced with hump day which feels more like Monday and the town crier must have run off with my Scotch. Why? It is essentially my first day this week, and I can find neither the scotch nor the loud mouth! Just as well I would kill the scotch and make the dip wad wish he were dead.
Gremlins live everywhere around here! Is it Halloween already? What happened to the opportunity to buy off the monsters with a treat before the tricks started?
After Monday's apprehension of the week ahead, Wednesday brings the sobering realization that the week is half gone and we have seemingly accomplished nothing. Nothing !! Now with the week speeding by, Friday rushing toward us, and so much yet to do how will we ever get it all done?
My grand daughter just found the brandy and a sniffer !
I"ll be back on track tomorrow!!
Maybe ?!!
